Google Ads management that tracks every dollar

Most Google Ads accounts we audit have the same problem. Money goes out every day, and nobody can say which clicks turned into jobs. Our Google Ads management starts with tracking, so every call and form is counted. Then we cut the searches that waste your budget and put more behind the ones that bring work.

Lot 01The job

What our Google Ads agency actually does

Google Ads is an auction that runs every time someone searches. You don't win it by paying the most. You win it by being the most useful answer at a price that still makes you money.

Setting up an account takes an afternoon. Keeping it profitable takes weekly attention. Search terms drift, competitors change their bids, and Google keeps suggesting settings that spend more of your money. Good Google Ads campaign management means someone checks all of that every week and acts on it.

That's the job we do. We run search campaigns for tradies, clinics, law firms and professional services across Australia. We treat your budget like it's our own: every dollar should be traceable to a call, a form or a booking.

  • Search first

People searching for your service right now are the warmest leads Google sells. That's where most budgets should start.

  • Tracked to the enquiry

We measure cost per call and cost per form, not clicks or impressions.

  • Your account, your data

The account sits in your name, and we explain every change we make in it.

Lot 02The auction

How the Google Ads auction really works

Every search triggers a quick auction. Google ranks each ad by its bid and its quality: how well the ad and landing page match what the person typed. Scroll to watch a lower bid win the top spot.

  1. A bid on its own

You bid $6 a click. Your ad is generic and points at your home page, so Google rates its quality 3 out of 10. You land in fourth, below the fold.

  2. An ad that matches the search

We write an ad that uses the searcher's words and mentions Southport. Relevance goes up, the quality score lifts to 5 and you move to third.

  3. A landing page that answers it

The click now lands on a page about local electrical work, with your number at the top. Quality reaches 8 and you take first place.

  4. You pay less than you bid

Top spot, same $6 bid. Because you pay only enough to beat the ad below you, each click now costs about $4.51. Better ads buy cheaper clicks.

Where your ad budget leaks

The search terms report shows what people actually typed before they clicked your ad. It's the most useful screen in Google Ads, and most owners never open it. Here's what a week of it often looks like for a local electrician.

How we plug the leaks

  • Negative keywords

We block words like jobs, free, DIY and course, so those searches never see your ad.

  • Location settings

We target people in your service area, not people who once showed an interest in it.

  • Match types

We keep broad match on a short leash until the account has enough conversion data to guide it.

  • Ad schedule

If nobody answers the phone after 6pm, we lower bids after hours or switch to form enquiries.

Lot 04What we run

Google Ads campaign management, done properly

We pick campaign types based on how your customers search and what a job is worth to you. Most local businesses need fewer campaigns, run better.

  • Search

    Search campaigns

Text ads that show when someone searches for your service. We build tight ad groups, one theme each, so the ad and page match the search closely. This is where most of your budget should go.

  • Performance Max

    Performance Max, used with care

Google's automated campaign type can work well once your conversion tracking is solid. Without it, it spends freely on placements you can't see. We add it only when the data can steer it.

  • Remarketing

    Remarketing

Most people don't enquire on the first visit. Remarketing shows your ads to past visitors while they compare quotes, at a fraction of the cost of a new search click.

  • Landing pages

Landing pages that match the ad

Because our plans include your website, we build pages for your main ad groups: one clear offer, reviews close to the button and your number at the top.

Lot 05Tracking

Conversion tracking comes first

If Google can't see which clicks become enquiries, it optimises for clicks. That's how budgets drain. Before we change a single bid, we connect the whole path from search to enquiry.

Analytics and conversion tracking are part of every plan.

  1. Step 1

    Search

Someone types a search and clicks your ad.

  2. Step 2

    Landing page

The page loads fast and answers what they searched.

  3. Step 3

    Call or form

Phone calls and form submissions are recorded as conversions.

  4. Step 4

    Analytics

Google Analytics 4 ties each enquiry back to the keyword.

  5. Step 5

    Back to Google Ads

Conversions flow back so bidding learns what a good click looks like.

Lot 09Why us

Why Gold Coast and Brisbane businesses hand us their ads

  • Ads and website under one roof

When the ad and the landing page are managed by the same team, the fix for a poor quality score takes a day, not a month of emails.

  • Measured on enquiries

We report cost per call and cost per form. Clicks and impressions only matter if they lead to work.

  • No percentage of spend

Our fee is flat, so our advice on budget is honest. Sometimes the right call is to spend less.

  • Local and experienced

We've built and marketed websites since 2014 for more than 250 businesses, from the Gold Coast and Brisbane to Sydney, Melbourne and regional towns.

Lot 10FAQ

Google Ads questions we get asked

Something else on your mind? Ask us on a call.

How much does Google Ads management cost?

Management is included in every monthly plan, from $1,199 per month plus GST. That plan also covers your website, hosting, SEO and analytics. Your ad spend is separate. It goes to Google, and you choose the budget with us before anything goes live.

How much should I spend on Google Ads?

Work backwards from cost per click. Look up what your main keywords cost in your area, then budget for enough clicks each month to learn what works. A tiny budget spread across many keywords teaches you nothing. We estimate this with you before launch, using Google's own keyword data.

Is Google Ads worth it for a small business?

It usually is when three things are true: people search for what you sell, a job is worth more than a few clicks, and your landing page makes it easy to call. It rarely works when tracking is missing, because you can't tell good spend from bad. We'll tell you honestly if the numbers don't stack up.

How long does Google Ads take to work?

Ads can show the day they're approved, so the first enquiries often arrive in the first week. The first month is mostly learning: which searches convert, which waste money. Most accounts settle into a steady cost per enquiry after two to three months of weekly tuning.

Should I use Google Ads or SEO?

Often both. Google Ads brings enquiries quickly and lets you test which services people want. SEO takes longer but keeps working without paying per click. Our monthly plans include both, so the ads cover you while organic rankings build.

What is a Google Ads quality score?

It's Google's 1 to 10 rating of how relevant your keyword, ad and landing page are to the search. A higher score helps your ad rank higher and can lower what you pay per click. Tight ad groups and a page that matches the search are the quickest ways to lift it.

Can you take over my existing Google Ads account?

Yes. We start with an audit of your campaigns, search terms and conversion tracking, then keep what's working and fix the rest. Keeping your account history is usually better than starting fresh, because Google has already learned from it.

Do I need a landing page for Google Ads?

You need a page that matches the search. Someone searching for switchboard upgrades should land on a switchboard page, not your home page. Because our plans include your website build, we can create these pages ourselves rather than waiting on another developer.
